Finishing fifth in the championship a clear 100 points ahaead of all novices it was a good start to his career on big tracks.
2017 Jake went on to ride a restricted 450 Aprilia in the Thundersport Superteens class and again was a front runner in the championship, top 5, right the way through until he had an opportunity to take part in a wildcard ride at British Super Bikes in the Standard Moto 3 class, after a succesfull weekend Jake was offerd a ride on the Wilson Racing team and was asked to ride the remainder of the season in preparation for a full season on the Standard Honda NSF 250r in the Hel Preformance Motostar British Championship 2018.
Jake was born in and still lives in Bromsgrove in Worcestershire. He goes to North Bromsgrove High School and his spare time (apart from biking!) enjoys most sports inlcuding cycling and rugby.
Jake couldn't have got where he has without the support of his family. Jake's parents, Jill and Chris, attend every race meeting, supporting him every step of the way. Racing has become a big part of family life.
So where did Jake's love of racing begin? At 18 months old whilst on a battery powered trike there are pictures in the family album of Jake looking on enviously as his big Brother Connor has a quad bike for his birthday. Jake himself soon upgraded to a quad bike and his passion for racing grew from there.
He started on motocross, but then soon moved to tarmac racing starting with Mini Motos, joining the Scott Redding young rider academy and joining FAB British Championships, where he competed on an competitive level, moving through the ranks upwards onto bigger bikes.
Jake's ambition is to progress onto riding superbikes and to eventually race for a living.
